Good evening everyone,

I hope that you're well, in these strangest of times. It's not so long since I last wrote, telling you that rugby operations at Devizes were suspended until further notice. There's no change there, I'm afraid - we don't have an indication when things may change, certainly no firm dates for resumption of training and games.

But that doesn't matter. We focus on what we can control - we stay strong, and keep preparing for when we are back on the hallowed turf. I've been properly entertained by the ingenuity of club mambers, players and supporters, working out how to use various social media platforms. Keep going: it makes a real difference - keep talking to each other - keep in touch.

I know that some of you have already been deeply and personally affected by this pandemic: you have our most sincere and deepest condolences, and are very much in our thoughts.

There are some important formalities we need to take care of - so please take a look at the attached letter, which sets out how we intend to handle them. If you have any queries or comments please do drop us a line, we're happy to talk even if we can't have a pint at the same time.

And if we are very lucky, the sound of Rappo's Donkey will once again be heard reverberating around the stands, sweet music for the opposition and a joy to all referees.

All the very best -

Chris
