After an intense Saturday we find ourselves still top of the 1st XV league table, and 2nd in the 2nd XV league table, after a great away win at Cricklade (not Colerne, Billsy!) and a hard fought loss with maximum bonus points to second-placed Salisbury with a couple of cracking performances thrown in. Nailbiting stuff, and maybe a taste of the intensity next year (no chickens being counted).
This weekend coming it's all about the Ladies at the Chivers ground, who host Reading on Sunday 20th in what the fixture card tells me is the last game of the season at home - go well!
Both mens teams take a break, but we have the triple-header Six Nations Super Saturday on the screen, so come up and watch ENG try and deny FRA the grand slam. There's a bit of a gap for the 2nds, with PV (league leaders) the last game - away on 9th April - one to watch - whilst the 1st have this week off then Swans away (coach time), Swindon at home (last home game, last VP lunch) and then SCOB away on 9th.
I imagine we might have a few beers back at the club Saturday 9th.
Our Ladies have their last match of the season away on April 10th, in Southampton - we really are close to it now.
