A message to all club members - players, supporters, and volunteers
Good evening everyone,
Over recent weeks the club management has been monitoring the situation regards COVID-19 coronavirus, working with our partners at Devizes Sports Club.
You will no doubt be aware that the national response to the situation has significantly shifted, in the last few hours.
As a result we held an emergency meeting this evening, and will be implementing RFU guidance in full and without reservation.
Pursuant to the Government's guidance and RFU directives, all rugby activity (including but not limited to all matches and training) is suspended with immediate effect until after 14 April, 2020.
Consequently the Management Board has taken the difficult decision in conjunction with the Sports Club to rule the club as out of bounds to rugby activities until further notice.
Regrettably this also includes postponement of our planned social events, and applies to all elements of the club - senior men, ladies, and all ages within the junior section.
The club will publish further updates as the situation develops - so please keep an eye on our usual channels (website, email, and social media).

Chairman, Devizes RFC
