Following the recent RFU announcement, the start of the 2026/27 competitive community rugby season has been delayed until the week commencing Monday 21 September because of concerns surrounding player welfare and current pitch conditions.
For Devizes RFC Senior Men, this means that, as things currently stand, our first league fixture of the season will now take place on Saturday 26 September.
A full revised fixture list will be published as soon as it is confirmed.
In addition, our scheduled pre-season fixture against Chippenham this Thursday will now become a live training session due to the current ground conditions at The Chivers' Ground. Supporters are still very welcome to come up and watch from 7pm onwards, and the bar will be open throughout the evening.
Further updates regarding our remaining pre-season fixtures against Royal Wootton Bassett IIs and Bradford-on-Avon will be shared in due course.
